WHAT WE DO

ACCOMMODATED SAFARIS

The Bush Ways Accommodated Safaris offer travellers the opportunity to explore the most amazing wilderness areas of Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe, simultaneously providing the comfort of permanent camps and lodges with the incredible privilege of being introduced to these fantastic natural wonders from beginning to end by one of our passionate Bush Ways guides.
We offer two different exciting itineraries. This lodge-to-lodge mobile safari itineraries are 3-star standing and offer a lot of activities. Transportation between lodges is done in a comfortable, air-conditioned minibus and parts of it in an open game drive vehicle, depending on the itinerary. The activities are carried out in the various lodges where we are staying using the lodge game drive vehicles, boats and mekoro (traditional dugout canoes).

For the Sable Accommodated Safari transfers between lodges are done in a 14-seater enclosed air-conditioned minibus. For activities, we use the specialised vehicles, boats, canoes, etc. of the lodges where we stay.

The Khwai section is entirely done (from Maun to Maun) with one of our Bush Ways Safaris custom-built game viewers:

  • they have side perspex windows that are usually completely removed and stored at the back for best game viewing but can be slid on each side if it is chilly or rainy.
  • canvas roof and front windscreen can unfold.
  • there are four rows at the back that could easily fit 16 pax but we limit the maximum to 11 guests for Accommodated Safaris offering great comfort and viewing opportunities.
  • we have a fridge under the front row to enjoy cool drinks at all times and there is a power point to recharge camera batteries during the safari.
  • there is no separation between the driver who is the guide and his passengers, therefore, a constant flow of communication to get the greatest experience in these wild environments and learn as much as possible about the places, fauna and flora.

For the Zebra Accommodated Safari the transfers between Hwange and Maun (or vice versa) are done in a 14-seater enclosed air-conditioned minibus. For activities, we use the specialised vehicles, boats, canoes, etc. of the lodges where we stay.

The section between Khwai and Kavimba (or vice versa) will be done with in one of our Bush Ways Safaris custom-built game viewers.
